Is there an entry fee for the competition?
E-commerce businesses apply based on their size, with participation fees varying accordingly:
New Business: Participation is free. Revenue: not higher than EUR 50,000;
Small Business: Participation is EUR 50 per category. Revenue: EUR 50,000 – 500,000;
Medium Business: Participation is EUR 100 per category. Revenue: EUR 500,000 – 5M;
Large Business: Participation is EUR 150 per category. Revenue: over EUR 5M.
How to choose the correct company size to apply to?
Company size is divided into categories according to company turnover over the course of the year. Choose the category that corresponds to your company’s turnover for the past year.
New Business: Participation is free. Revenue: not higher than EUR 50,000;
Small Business: Participation is EUR 50 per category. Revenue: EUR 50,000 – 500,000;
Medium Business: Participation is EUR 100 per category. Revenue: EUR 500,000 – 5M;
Large Business: Participation is EUR 150 per category. Revenue: over EUR 5M.
Can one company apply for several categories?
Yes. You can apply to all categories that are relevant for your e-shop. There might be categories that apply to you and some that you might want to skip, for example, if you don’t export your products, you can skip Export category or if you don’t use any marketplaces like Amazon or Etsy, you can skip Marketplace category.
I don’t have my own e-store, but I sell my products on Etsy. Do I qualify for any of the categories?
Yes, you qualify for category Marketplace.
You can choose Marketplace category after selecting your company size.
How can we choose the right category in which to register our e-commerce platform?
To choose the right category, consider how your e-commerce platform excels. Apply for the User Experience & Design (general category) if you want to compete broadly as this is a more general category. For specific strengths, consider categories like Content, Sustainability, Export, AI & Automation, Marketplace, Effective Campaign, or Shopify.
Select categories that reflect your strengths. For example, if you excel in international sales, choose Export. If AI or automation drives your e-shop, go for AI & Automation. Exceptional campaigns might fit Effective Campaign, and creative content belongs in Content. You can apply to multiple categories that align with your expertise.
If you sell on a marketplace like Amazon or Etsy, you should choose Marketplace category.
How will the judging take place?
Firstly, the competition organisers will verify whether all applications comply with the regulations and have been submitted in the appropriate categories. If any inaccuracies are discovered, the organisers will contact the applicant personally. If there are no problems, the submission will be accepted and submitted to the jury panel for evaluation. The jury panel will evaluate the submissions on the electronic platform. Each application will be reviewed and evaluated based on the categories the e-shop has applied for, with a rating given on a scale from 1 to 10. E-stores with the highest ratings will be awarded as gold, silver and bronze award winners.
