Application formThe second annual Baltic E-Commerce Star competition celebrates excellence in the region’s online marketplace. After three years of recognition in Latvia and a successful debut across the Baltics last year, the awards return to honour both small and large e-commerce stores in 2025.
Participation fees vary based on business size: New Business, Small Business, Medium Business, and Large Business.
With 8 categories to choose from, your e-commerce shop can apply to the ones that best reflect its achievements. You can enter one or multiple categories to showcase your expertise and stand out.

Yes. You can apply to all categories that are relevant for your e-shop. There might be categories that apply to you and some that you might want to skip, for example, if you don’t export your products, you can skip Export category or if you don’t use any marketplaces like Amazon or Etsy, you can skip Marketplace category.

You can choose Marketplace category after selecting your company size.
To choose the right category, consider how your e-commerce platform excels. Apply for the User Experience & Design (general category) if you want to compete broadly as this is a more general category. For specific strengths, consider categories like Content, Sustainability, Export, AI & Automation, Marketplace, Effective Campaign, or Shopify.
Select categories that reflect your strengths. For example, if you excel in international sales, choose Export. If AI or automation drives your e-shop, go for AI & Automation. Exceptional campaigns might fit Effective Campaign, and creative content belongs in Content. You can apply to multiple categories that align with your expertise.
If you sell on a marketplace like Amazon or Etsy, you should choose Marketplace category.
Firstly, the competition organisers will verify whether all applications comply with the regulations and have been submitted in the appropriate categories. If any inaccuracies are discovered, the organisers will contact the applicant personally. If there are no problems, the submission will be accepted and submitted to the jury panel for evaluation. The jury panel will evaluate the submissions on the electronic platform. Each application will be reviewed and evaluated based on the categories the e-shop has applied for, with a rating given on a scale from 1 to 10. E-stores with the highest ratings will be awarded as gold, silver and bronze award winners.
